Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course (CLC3) / Reserve Component Captain’s Career Course (RC4) Instructor/Small Group Leader (SGL)

CLC3/RC4 Instructors/Small Group Leaders perform platform and hands-on instruction to ALU officer level students attending the Logistics Leader College at Fort Lee, VA. 
 
Duties:
CLC3 / RC4 SGL/Instructors will instruct tasks on equipment associated in their respective programs of instruction. All instruction shall conform to the principles and concepts contained in the TRADOC approved CLC3/RC4 Program of Instruction (POI) and shall perform to standards for all stated tasks. Instruction includes classroom/laboratory conference instruction, discussion, demonstration, practical exercises, testing, and student critiques.
 
The primary instructional methodology used in CLC3 is small group instruction.  Small group instruction enables a dynamic instructional setting gained from a combined branch mix as well as international and US Marine Corps students; student officers of one support branch learn from and work with officers (students and Instructors) from other support branches, other countries, and the USMC.  Small group instruction also allows instructors to know student weaknesses and strengths more comprehensively and enables daily demonstration of knowledge. 
          
CLC3/RC4 SGLs/Instructors provide classroom support which may include: preparing classroom or training area; reviewing lesson plans, subject matter material; inserting and removing faults impairments and problems; picking up and returning training aids/devices; maintaining equipment modifications implantation and updating training aids/devices.
           
CLC/RC4 Instructor/SGLs provide student support which may include:  academic counseling; administering and grading written tests; administering and grading performance tests; academic evaluation reviews (1059s); administering course evaluations; and assisting in graduation exercises
 
Qualifications:
  • Prior military service at a rank of O-3 or above
  • Graduate of CLC3 or US Army Advance Course Equivalent
  • At least one year company command (Validated by HRC)
  • Held one or more of the following positions in addition to company command: Logistics Officer, Support Operations Officer, Bn or Bde S4, Accountable Officer, Maintenance Officer, Supply Officer, Petroleum Officer, Operations Officer, Plans Officer,  
  • One year experience teaching, development, or reviewing course material, training aids, and manuals for military training programs.
  • Minimum of seven years prior military service.
  • Proficient in MS Office computer software programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to ensure ability to access all required training tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Possesses outstanding communicative skills (verbal and nonverbal)
  • Knowledgeable of all applicable regulations and doctrines regarding military officer training.
  • Honorably separated from service
  • Previously held MOS 90A, Logistics Officer
  • Meets Army Height and Weight Standard IAW AR 600-9
  • Proficient in all aspects of CLC3/RC4 to facilitate any phase of instruction
  • Qualified based on instructor certification requirements as outlined in TRADOC Regulation 350-1, CASCOM Certification SOP, and ALU SOP
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties regarding moderate lifting (not to exceed 45 lbs), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and endure inclement weather conditions on occasion.
  • Ability to complete FDP1 and FDP2 courses within 6 months of start date Minimum requirement of FDP1 is necessary before performing as a CLC3 Instructor.
  • (Preferred) Deployment experience (operational or combat) in last 7 years
 
Period of Performance: The period of performance for this task order will be: 
Base Period:                 30 September 2012 – 31 May 2013
          Option Period One:        1 June 2013 – 31 May 2014
          Option Period Two:        1 June 2014 – 31 May 2015
 
Location: Fort Lee, VA.  There is no relocation package associated with this position.
 
Security Requirements:
Minimum of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) in accordance with (IAW) Army Regulation 25-2, Information Assurance Training, and Memo, DA G2 dated Aug 08 prior to starting employment under the terms of this contract.
